The joint stock company Rīgas Gāze was established with the objective of offering clients a chance of choosing a natural gas supplier after the opening of the natural gas market. Pursuant to the laws of the Republic of Latvia, JSC Rīgas Gāze is registered in the Gas Traders Registry and it is bound by contractual commitments towards the transmission system operator (JSC “Conexus Baltic Grid”) and towards the distribution system operator (JSC “Gaso”), which allows JSC Rīgas Gāze to offer its clients an entire set of gas services. The client receives one clear invoice, which includes all services that are related to the supply and consumption of natural gas.

JSC Rīgas Gāze advocates an open and transparent market — we want the client to see and consider all components of gas supply and choose the offer that fits them best.

JSC Rīgas Gāze offers an entirely transparent natural gas price formation. We are informing about changes in the natural gas procurement price on our portal on the 5th of each month for the following month; our mark-ups are fixed and non-variable, and information is available to everyone. And there are no other standing charges, costs of administration or services referred to otherwise.
